Languishing In Love

Execution never came lightly. The force of its demand thrusted into my hands as the subject to die requested their own finalé.

‘End me’, the personification of my love asked. The image of devotion and care wrapped in layers of infatuation, standing within my mind - no longer wants my gaze to lie upon them. Wishes to be free from the cage that is my heart. And so - I let you go.

I kill this version of myself - and the mirroring vision of you that dances within the eyes of my body. The end of something that was never fully developed. A reality slain and cut short.
