Caged In The Coop

Here I am.

Stranded, sheltered, shared by the beast of The Barn.

I chose this. I love this. I longed and clawed and tore my teeth into this. A future I starved after only to taste it and become addicted to its consumption.

What a beautiful holding cell. A safe haven - I thought. Ran to its stone walls and promise of food to only have the doors barred outside-in.

The stones crumble down and crack my spine. The chickens died eighty-nine years past. My Father calls me to the dinner table, to provide for me. Thank goodness I cannot reach him. For it would be me as meat on the plate. Luring me in before being skinned under his vulture-talons. A cannibalistic, rageful man-child come to display a desperate attempt of territorialism.
